ISO22000:2005 has been elaborated by the ISO along with different actors . Therefore, ISO22000:2005 harmonizes the requirements of national food safety management systems on a worldwide basis. Any stakeholder of the food chain (crop producers, feed producers, food producers, processors, wholesalers, retailers) can use ISO22000:2005 independently or in combination with other management system standard (commonly with ISO9001). The ISO22000:2005 mark cannot be used on certified products because it is a systemic standard rather than a product standard.
